Dental Implants Shawnee Kansas
For anyone needing dental implants, know that you’ll be great hands with both Doctors Bridenstine and Boldry. If you’re looking to replace missing teeth with a permanent solution, this might be what you are seeking. With implants, a titanium screw is anchored into the bones of your jaw, replacing the damaged or missing root. This is the base upon which a prosthetic tooth will be placed. This is normally done when one has lost a tooth or several teeth due to gum disease, an accident or other occurrence. You might also take a look at bridges or dentures.
However, if there are no medical conditions preventing you from having dental implants, they might be the better choice for you. The reason for this is that your underlying bone structure becomes stronger which translates to increased oral health. You’ll also find that you’ll be able to eat the foods you know and love, but might not have been able to have since losing a tooth, like corn on the cob! Dental implants do not decay, and the procedure has an average success rate of about 98%. It’s important that once you have implants, make sure that you are brushing and flossing on a regular schedule. Ideally, you’ll brush and floss twice per day. And, don’t forget that you need to be sure to see the dentist every six months for your normal checkup, or more often if directed.
Although the dental implants are almost impervious to failure, your gums, natural teeth, tongue still require care – even more so now, as they are supporting structures for these devices. If you have any questions at all, or would like a no-pressure, free consultation to find out what’s right for you – give us a call today and we’ll schedule a time that’s convenient for you to come in and learn more about what options there are to get you the smile you’ve always dreamed of.

Things to do in Shawnee
If you’re up for something a little different, head over to Shawnee Town 1909. This museum showcases what life was like during this pivotal time in American history. The museum focuses on displaying how people lived, and what the community they made up was like. Being authentic and true to the period is one of the museum’s stand-out points. For example, when showing what people grew, cooked and ate, only vegetables that were actually available in the area during that time are presented. There’s even a period-authentic barber shop!
If the great outdoors are more of what you seek, get out to the Mill Creek Steamway Park. This beautiful park has over seventeen miles of trails, both for bicycles and pedestrian traffic. There’s also plenty of space for horse riding, with over four miles of trails. There’s quite a bit of open space available for hiking, running, jogging or simply slowing down and having a picnic. The main trail follows a creek, is flat and makes for a great way to ride your bicycle, taking you along nature trails, under bridges and along an easy to navigate path.
